Trek Overview

The Indrahar Pass Trek is one of the most popular high-altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh, located in the majestic Dhauladhar Range of the Himalayas. The trek starts from McLeod Ganj, the vibrant hill town near Dharamshala, and takes trekkers through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and deodar before opening up to vast alpine meadows and dramatic rocky landscapes.

Standing at an altitude of around 4,342 meters (14,245 ft), Indrahar Pass offers breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range on one side and the Pir Panjal range on the other. The trek also provides stunning panoramas of the Kangra Valley far below.

This trek is ideal for adventure enthusiasts who want to experience a mix of forest trails, high-altitude ridges, and snow patches during the early summer months. The route passes through beautiful campsites such as Triund, Ilaqa Got, and Lahesh Cave, making the journey as memorable as the destination itself.

With moderate to challenging terrain and incredible Himalayan scenery, the Indrahar Pass Trek is a perfect choice for trekkers looking to explore the raw beauty of the Dhauladhar mountains.
