Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Rishikesh to Joshimath (Overnight)

The journey begins from Rishikesh, the gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas. After assembling in the morning, the group will start the scenic drive toward Joshimath.

The route passes through beautiful mountain towns and river valleys. During the drive, you will witness the famous confluence at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the sacred Ganga.

Enjoy breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, and dense forests along the route. After reaching Joshimath in the evening, check into the hotel/guesthouse. Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay.

Day 2: Joshimath to Auli bugyal Back Joshimath (Overnight)

After breakfast, head toward Auli, one of the most beautiful high-altitude meadows in Uttarakhand.

Auli is famous for its vast alpine bugyals and stunning Himalayan views. Spend the day exploring the lush meadows, taking photographs, and enjoying the peaceful mountain environment. From here, you can witness magnificent peaks such as Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Mana Parvat.

Visitors can also experience the famous ropeway ride (optional). After exploring Auli and spending time in the meadows, return to Joshimath in the evening.

Dinner and overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 3: Joshimath to Chopta (Overnight)

After breakfast, check out and drive toward Chopta, often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of India”.

The drive takes you through dense forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron. The scenic road journey itself is a memorable experience with breathtaking views of the Garhwal Himalayas.

Upon arrival in Chopta, check into camps or a guesthouse. Spend the evening relaxing in the peaceful surroundings of the Himalayan forests. Enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay in Chopta.

Day 4: Tungnath & Chandrashila trek (Overnight in Chopta)

Wake up early and begin the trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world.

The trek from Chopta to Tungnath is around 3.5 km and follows a well-defined trail with gradual ascents. Along the route, you will witness stunning views of snow-covered peaks and beautiful alpine landscapes.

After reaching Tungnath Temple, continue the trek for another 1.5 km to reach Chandrashila summit. From the top, trekkers are rewarded with a breathtaking 360-degree view of Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, and Kedarnath.

After spending some time at the summit, descend back to Chopta.

Dinner and overnight stay in Chopta.

Day 5: Chopta to Deoria tal trek + drive to Rishikesh (Overnight)

After breakfast, drive to Sari village and start the trek to Deoria Tal.

The trek is around 2.5 km one way and is relatively easy. Deoria Tal is a beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by dense forests and offers stunning reflections of the Chaukhamba peaks in its crystal-clear water.

Spend some time enjoying the scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the lake before descending back to Sari village.

Later, begin the drive back to Rishikesh. After reaching in the evening, check into the hotel/hostel. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Day 6: Adventures Activities + rafting, Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh (Overnight)

After breakfast, get ready for exciting adventure activities in Rishikesh.

Experience thrilling river rafting in the Ganga, which is one of the most popular activities in Rishikesh. The rafting stretch includes exciting rapids and stunning river valley views.

Later, explore local attractions such as Laxman Jhula and nearby cafes.

In the evening, attend the spiritual Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, a mesmerizing experience filled with chants, lamps, and devotion.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Depart from Rishikesh

After breakfast, the trip comes to an end in Rishikesh.

Participants can proceed toward their onward destinations with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas, scenic treks, and adventure experiences.
