The Kheerganga Trek begins from Barshaini village, around 22 km from Kasol. The trail gradually ascends through forests of pine and deodar trees, passing through small waterfalls, wooden bridges, and charming Himalayan villages like Nakthan and Rudranag.
The highlight of the trek is the natural hot water spring at Kheerganga, believed to have mythological significance associated with Lord Shiva. After a moderate climb of 5–6 hours, trekkers reach the meadow at the top where camps are set up.
This trek is ideal for those looking for a short Himalayan escape with scenic beauty and cultural charm without extreme physical challenges.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Barsaini – Rudra Nag – Kheerganga (Trek 12 km / 5–6 hrs, Camping)
- Drive: Arrive at Barsaini, the trek starting point.
- Trek Distance: ~12 km | Duration: 5–6 hours | Level: Easy to Moderate
- Begin the trek through scenic villages, waterfalls, and pine forests.
- En route, take a short break at Rudra Nag Waterfall (a popular resting point).
- Reach Kheerganga Campsite by evening.
- Enjoy hot meals, campfire (subject to weather), and overnight stay in tents under the starry sky.
Day 2: Kheerganga – Rudra Nag – Barsaini (Trek 12 km / 4–5 hrs, Return)
- Wake up early to witness a stunning sunrise over the Parvati Valley.
- Visit the famous natural hot water spring at Kheerganga (Parvati Kund).
- After breakfast, begin the trek back to Barsaini.
- Trek Distance: ~12 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
- Reach Barshaini by afternoon/evening.
- Trip ends with unforgettable memories.
